New Hampshire Children’s Trust Announces Two New Board Members

Concord, NH— New Hampshire Children’s Trust (NHCT) announces the appointment of two new members of its Board of Trustees, as well as the full slate of officers and board members for 2021.


Joining the Board of Trustees are Janice Fitzpatrick and Joseph Mendola.

“We are very excited to welcome are newest Board Members to the Trust,” says Cliff Simmonds, Executive Director of the Trust. “Both Joe and Janice will add depth and expertise to an already robust and talented Board dedicated to strengthening families and communities throughout New Hampshire.”

Janice Fitzpatrick of Candia is the Director of Financial Services at National Education Association—New Hampshire. She has also served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the NH Electric Cooperative and worked for 10 years in the banking industry. Janice holds a Masters in Accounting from Southern NH University where she received the Alumni Distinguished Service Award in 2000 for her leadership, dedication and loyal service to the college. She previously served on the NHCT board from 2010 - 2018.


Joseph Mendola of Warner is the Senior Vice President of The Norwood Group, Inc. which is a real estate group located in Bedford, NH. He has been employed by The Norwood Group, Inc. since 1980 and has managed every aspect of the real estate acquisition and development projects in Massachusetts since 1982. Joe is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the National Association of REALTORS. Joe graduated from Rider University and is passionate about affordable housing and education.

“It’s an exciting time to share ideas and plan for the meaningful work that will be done by New Hampshire Children’s Trust in 2021,” say Jenn Cronin, NHCT Board Chair. “The Trust has continued to grow as a leader in the prevention space and partner with state/local agencies to focus on strengthening families, kinship, create training, resources and tools that move NH forward in the prevention of child abuse and neglect.”
