NH Children’s Trust was honored to sponsor the 2025 Disability Pride Parade and Festival in Concord on July 26th, hosted by ABLE NH. Held on the lawn of the State House, this vibrant event brought together advocates, community organizations, and families to celebrate disability pride, and visibility in the Granite State.
The day marked two important milestones—35 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and 50 years of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act). These landmark pieces of legislation have shaped a more accessible and equitable future for individuals with disabilities across the country.
Participants marched through downtown Concord with signs, music, and enthusiasm, reinforcing a strong sense of community and shared purpose. The event featured speakers, performances, and resource booths that highlighted the many ways people with disabilities contribute to and enrich our communities.
At NH Children’s Trust, we believe that every child and family deserves to grow up in a community where they feel seen, supported, and connected. Events like the Disability Pride Parade remind us that when we come together in celebration and solidarity, we build a stronger, more compassionate New Hampshire for all.
