Meet our Event Host

Hayley LaPoint, a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, is thrilled to forecast in New England, where she grew up in Topsfield, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology and an Associate's in TV News from Lyndon State College in Vermont. Hayley began her career in Fargo, ND, where she became the first TV meteorologist in that market to earn the prestigious CBM seal from the American Meteorological Society—a rigorous certification she now carries to WMUR. She also spent three years forecasting at WPTZ-TV in Plattsburgh, NY/Burlington, VT, and was elected in 2013 to the AMS Board of Broadcast Meteorologists, helping select recipients of the CBM seal nationwide.

Hayley’s love for weather began in childhood, often pretending to report storms on the family camcorder. When she’s not on air, she enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her husband (also a meteorologist), their daughter, and their Westie, Doppler.
