What is Giving Tuesday?
#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. #GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and support their communities.
It’s a day when everyone comes together to give back in all forms—acts of kindness, gifts of voice, time, talent or treasure.
New Hampshire Children’s Trust is leading the drive to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments for children by educating, advocating, and collaborating. We do this by:
Helping parents develop resiliency; creating opportunities for friends, family, neighbors, and community members to provide support; promoting the healthy development of children; facilitating access to concrete supports; and nurturing children's ability to interact positively with others and effectively communicate their feelings with family, other adults, and peers.
What is a #UNselfie?
The #UNselfie or the selfless selfie, is a powerful way to show how and why you are giving.
Here's 3 quick steps to becoming a #UNselfie master:
Print our template and write down why you and/or your friends are giving, and take a "selfie" with your completed template (or fill it out digitally).
Add the hashtags #UNselfie, #GivingTuesday, and #StrongFamiliesSafeKids.
Post it to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat—share far and wide & get your friends to join you!
