On May 6th, 7th and 8th, members of the NH Children’s Trust team had the opportunity to attend the National Family Support Network Member Convening in Washington, D.C.—a powerful three-day event focused on strengthening Family Resource Center Networks through collaboration, peer learning, and advocacy.

Christina Lachance, Interim Executive Director and Jamie Huard-Ramos, Program Specialist, were joined by Cathy Livingston, Director of the Family Connections Resource Center at Children Unlimited Inc. in Conway, NH, where they connected with leaders and advocates from across the country to share ideas, explore best practices, and spotlight the unique strengths of NH families.

Christina, Jamie and Cathy also had the opportunity to visit with Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, as well as staff from both offices of Senator Shaheen and Congressman Chris Pappas, where they discussed the importance of investing in Family Resource Centers and family support programs in New Hampshire. These moments of connection underscore the power of elevating local voices in national conversations.

The convening was filled with moments of inspiration, learning, and renewed commitment to ensuring every family in New Hampshire—and across the country—has access to the resources they need to thrive.
