What a sweet day it was at the New Hampshire State House! We were thrilled to host our Legislative Cookie Chat, a unique and meaningful event that brings together policymakers, Family Resource Centers (FRCs), and agency partners for a warm and informal opportunity to connect.
Governor Kelly Ayotte dropped by, adding to the excitement and reinforcing the importance of supporting families across the Granite State. The conversations throughout the day focused on how we can work together to build protective factors and strengthen families so that all children have the opportunity to thrive.
We’re deeply grateful to the FRCs who joined us and shared their on-the-ground perspectives:
The Upper Room
Salem Family Resources
Waypoint
Community Action Partnership of Strafford County
Their voices and experiences are critical to shaping policy that supports prevention, early intervention, and long-term wellbeing for children and families.
And of course, a heartfelt thank you to New Futures and all the legislators who took the time to stop by for cookies and conversation. These simple moments of connection can spark meaningful change—and they remind us that policy and prevention go hand in hand.
Special thanks to Crust and Crumb for providing the delicious cookies that helped bring us together!
