FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Concord, NH (January 27, 2026) –

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Children’s Trust (NHCT) has joined the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), an organization committed to ensuring children, families, and individuals have diapers, period products, and other essentials to live and thrive. NHCT is the only New Hampshire organization in the network.

“We are honored to be the only New Hampshire organization selected to join the National Diaper Bank Network,” said Christina Lachance, President of New Hampshire Children’s Trust. *“This partnership will allow us to expand access to essential supplies and help ensure more babies across the state stay clean, healthy, and supported in 2026.”

NHCT will receive over 5,000 diapers as part of an initiative by Huggies® and the National Diaper Bank Network to deliver 15 million donated Huggies® diapers in just 15 days to diaper banks nationwide, in celebration of NDBN’s 15th anniversary. Through an expanded partnership, Huggies® will donate a total of 75 million diapers to NDBN over 3 years.

“A portion of this anniversary donation has been reserved for ‘small but mighty’ NDBN members like New Hampshire Children’s Trust, who we know are making amazing use of every resource they get to serve children and families in their communities,” said NDBN CEO Joanne Samuel Goldblum.

New Hampshire Children’s Trust’s partnership with the National Diaper Bank Network will expand its existing Economic and Concrete Supports Program, which provides diapers, wipes, and other essentials to family-strengthening organizations across the Granite State for distribution to local families. In 2025, over 119,500 diapers were distributed to families in 96% of New Hampshire municipalities as part of the Economic and Concrete Supports initiative, positively impacting over 4,000 Granite State children.

“Providing supports like diapers, wipes, period products, and other essentials to families helps alleviate financial stress for caregivers and promotes overall family well-being, allowing parents to focus on other important aspects of family life,” said Lachance.

The NDBN Diaper Check Survey consistently shows that nearly half (47%) of U.S. families with young children cannot afford the diapers their children need. In 2024, New Hampshire was projected to need over 11.5 million diapers to meet the diapering needs of Granite State families with children age three and under living in households with low and moderate incomes.

“Our research proves that babies are healthier, and parents are more successful when diaper banks help with this basic need,” said Goldblum. “Addressing diaper insecurity sets us up for a future where every family is positioned to thrive.”

Through its partnership with the National Diaper Bank Network, NHCT will continue to grow its Economic and Concrete Supports Program to better meet the needs of families statewide. Organizations interested in becoming a Partner in Prevention with NHCT to receive diapers to distribute to local families are encouraged to contact programs@nhchildrenstrust.org to learn more.

Parents and caregivers interested in accessing concrete supports should contact one of our Partners in Prevention by finding their nearest location in the Locator App, found on our Economic and Concrete Supports page
