This summer, New Hampshire Children's Trust was proud to sponsor ABLE NH's Disability

Pride Parade & Festival in downtown Concord — a joyful, family-friendly celebration that brought together individuals, families, and organizations from across the state.

A Celebration of Community and Connection

The Disability Pride Parade & Festival has grown from a small community gathering into one of New Hampshire's premier public celebrations. This year's event, themed "Every Body, Every Mind," featured a festive parade through downtown Concord, starting and ending at the State House, followed by a lively festival featuring local businesses, community organizations, music, and family activities.

At New Hampshire Children's Trust, we believe strong communities are built when every family and every individual has the opportunity to fully participate and thrive. Events like the Disability Pride Parade & Festival reflect that same spirit — bringing neighbors together to celebrate identity, resilience, and belonging.

NHCT in the Community

Representing NHCT at this year's festivities was our own Kat Challis, Senior Director of Development, who connected with ABLE NH Board Member Colby Dudal during the celebration. Moments like these are a reminder of the power of partnership — when organizations across our state come together, families and communities are stronger for it.

Why We Sponsor Events Like This

Sponsoring community celebrations like the Disability Pride Parade & Festival is a natural extension of NHCT's Blueprint for Family Well-Being — our adaptive strategic plan built in partnership with staff, board, and community partners across New Hampshire. The Blueprint centers our work on strengthening families and building resilient communities, and that means showing up for the celebrations that bring communities together, not just the programs that support them behind the scenes.

We're proud to stand alongside organizations like ABLE NH, whose work helps create a state where every person has the chance to fully participate. Events like this one reflect the same spirit as our Blueprint: strong families and strong communities are built together.

You can learn more about our Blueprint for Family Well-Being here.

A heartfelt thank you to ABLE NH for organizing such a meaningful event, and to everyone who came out to celebrate community, connection, and joy in downtown Concord.
